Justice league trailer 1 thoughts

Justice League is going to release later this year and there was so much hype for the trailer release. WB decided to release little 15-20 second teasers for each character and kept us ready for 2 and a half minutes of awesomeness 2 days early.

The trailer kicks off by showing us Bruce Wayne dressed up like Bruce Wayne from Batman begins while searching for Ra's Al Ghul, only this time it looks like he's probably searching for someone who lives near the seas, brings fish when people are hungry, you guessed it right, Aquaman. Diana says that the threat they were getting ready for is already here, which is basically Steppenwolf and his army. We get a typical bat-smirk from Ben and this is where the trailer enters awesome mode.

We get a glimpse of Jason Momoa as Aquaman who was basically a joke in the comics and most of the animated stuff as a buffed up dude you wouldn't want to pick a fight with who I think works near the sea as a lifeguard. We get a glimpse of Victor Stone who later becomes cyborg and this is where the people complain so much saying that his CGI is screwed up, but personally I don't care because I never cared for the character and I would have definitely preferred to see Martian Manhunter or Green Lantern in his place so, it doesn't bother me much.

We also get to see Barry Allen who stole the show in the teaser released in the 2016 comic con snatch the limelight one more time. I have to say, I've never seen this kind of speed anywhere and he could probably turn out to be faster than quicksilver from the X-Men series. Blue lightning looks dope, almost gives us a feel like he taps into another dimension when he's in the speed force. His suit looks great, full marks to WB for making the flash fans all over the world so happy, and especially since the Grant Gustin series started, we've been seeing a considerable increase in the number of flash fans, hopefully, Ezra Miller can make the fan base larger. I would be even more thrilled if they get his sense of humor spot on like how they did with the Justice League Unlimited series, expecting more 'dibs on the Amazon' kind of lines from the fastest man alive.

Gal Gadot pretty much puts all doubts to an end, she looks so gorgeous throughout the trailer and kicks more ass than she did in Batman V Superman, can't wait to go see her standalone Wonder Woman movie. Coming to my favourite guy, B-man, he looks so good and everytime they show him swing away with his grapple gun and take down a bunch of baddies, I go full fanboy mode because no matter what people say about how awesome the Nolan Batman series is, we've never seen a Batman this close to the comics and that is what makes me, a bat-fanboy since I was a kid growing up with the Kevin Conroy series, so happy. The only disappointment from Batman is why he's so reckless with his secret with Barry, Diana, and Arthur, that's one thing that the DCEU hasn't given much importance to. Other than that, batfleck stole our hearts one more time.

The way everything looks right now is so gorgeous, the locations, the fight scenes, the CGI, and the league that too this early, almost 8 months from its release, gives us all a lot of hope that this could be Snyder's home run, maybe third time is the charm, we're just hoping that there's enough substance in it to match the extraordinary visuals and CGI seen throughout. We've seen a glimpse of Amazonian warriors go against the parademons, so it's important to mention how that ties in with the movie, whether the battle takes place in Themiscira or whether they fight with the league in that case, what made them leave their safeplace and come to interact with mankind? If Snyder manages to answer all those questions and tie up all loose ends this could easily make 1.5 billion USD at the box office.

I spoke about how much hope this gives me, that's exactly what this trailer is missing, the Man Of Steel and his comeback. True, DC blew their load early in Batman V Superman, they shouldn't have killed him off so early, they should have shown the league carrying his coffin, both audience and actors mourning his loss, Batman not attending his funeral but staying on top of a rooftop his cape flapping, dealing with Clark's loss in his own dark way, the animated series did it perfectly. Clearly killing him off in Batman V Superman was a bad move, but whatever has happened has happened. All I want to see is Superman, returning to the league when they're all being laid to dust by Steppenwolf and his team, mankind in the brink of extinction and the skies cracking open with Kal El returning in his black suit with long hair, regenerated by Kryptonian technology, tearing down the parademons with his heat vision, freeze breath and super strength and finishing off Steppenwolf, doing what he always does, give the league hope, give the audience hope, bring them back on their feet and get back to Lois. I know it's a lot to expect, but it really broke my heart to not see Clark in the process of recruiting the league, like Magneto and Charles recruiting the X-Men, but I certainly don't want Superman to be resurrected by Darkseid and see the league go against him, Superman is not a bad guy, he's the most empathetic and human character in the league and most of us can relate to him better because he struggles to adapt to the real world.

JL will hit theatres on November 17, and I will be there with my popcorn and hot chocolate relishing the movie more than my food, and let's hope that DC can manage to please fans and critics and good enough to forgive the mistakes in Bvs, after all, we fall so we can learn to pick ourselves up, all hail DC!
