Spiderman homecoming/ Iron man 4.5 thoughts

Spiderman homecoming, directed by Jon Watts according to google is the sixteenth movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the second movie to feature Spiderman in the MCU, first one being Captain America civil war and the seventh movie with Spidey's presence on the big screen. As a child I was a huge fan of Toby Maguire's Spiderman series, Andrew Garfield not so much, Tom Holland, I'll have to wait and see after this.

Tom Holland stole our hearts with his cameo in Captain America civil war. Seriously, the part where he takes cap's shield away from him was the part which made fans go crazy, and Marvel has yet again proved that it can't go wrong with its casting choices. Almost everybody approved of Tom Holland as Spiderman and he was quite charming and lovable in the little screen time that he had.

The first trailer of homecoming was a bit disappointing because it felt like Peter wasn't on his own, and honestly independent Peter Parker learning and growing on his own with the little resources that he had, is what we loved about Toby Maguire's Spiderman and this incarnation of Spiderman felt like he was spoonfed almost everything by Tony Stark. Trailer number 2 released a few hours back, showed us that Peter does something he shouldn't have in spite of Tony's warning gets himself in trouble and is forced to return his awesome suit back to iron man.

We have Batman, I mean Michael Keaton starring as Vulture, a villain I have no idea about, and a villain who Peter will stop without his awesome suit, but with his onesie, this time on his own and prove to Tony, that being an Avenger is more than being someone in a suit. This is the real test for Peter to prove that he has the quality of being what it takes to be an Avenger. That's the part which I love the most and that's the part which I would have liked even better had I seen it in the theatre.

The trailer did just give us a 3-minute synopsis of the full movie, very reminiscent of what the second trailer of Batman v Superman did, even though the film was much more than that, which got all the fans and critics angry, who started to hate on the movie before it even released. But this is a Marvel movie and it's okay to reveal a lot and people will still love it despite its flaws and that kind of hate won't come because Peter is very nice and Tony is awesome and even though this is supposed to be a Spiderman movie, Tony Stark's presence won't make it Ironman 4. Just saying guys, the trailer definitely revealed too much. That being said, it still promises a very good Spiderman movie. Will it top the first two Spiderman movies of Toby Maguire? Will we see uncle Ben dying? We'll find out after the movie is released. But the most difficult and important task this movie has to accomplish, is to show us how Peter would manage to defeat vulture without his suit and if he really deserves his suit back from Tony, we all know Tony would eventually give it back, but we would definitely like to see Peter work for it. I hope Marvel can at least nail this part if not the genius, intelligent Peter Parker, or even better I would love it if Peter designed his own suit, better than Tony's version proving that he doesn't need Stark's resources to survive and save people, but knowing that Marvel will always take the safe route to earn enough money and please enough people, that story is definitely a long shot.

Spiderman homecoming hits theatres on July 7th and I will be there hoping for a good standalone Spiderman movie, hopefully, watch him grow independently without a lot of Tony Stark's guidance because Spiderman is a hero, definitely better than the rest of the Avengers and I would love it if the movie can show that to us. Always remember, before iron man came to the big screen, before the Avengers were cool before you thought Spidey was awesome in Civil War, Spiderman was already awesome.

P.S. If Captain America civil war was iron man 4 and this would be 4.5, just saying.
