Avengers Endgame - Fallen heroes

Marvel is back from a break. Things went silent since Avengers infinity war. Avengers Endgame will be the official title of the fourth installment of the Avengers series. Their latest trailer has got 289 million views in 24 hours becoming the most viewed trailer in a day. Sure we had a couple of Captain Marvel trailers but let's be honest, we only cared about it because we wanted to know her role at the end of Infinity War. Both the Captain Marvel trailers didn't impress me at all. First female superhero solo movie in the Marvel cinematic universe but I'm not sure how well it will do in the theatres, maybe the movie will turn out to be much better than the trailers, hoping that's the case.

This was one of the most awaited trailers of all time and I was expecting a huge action sequence some mind-blowing special effects but what did the Russos decide to go with? Piercing a sharp dagger in our already weakened hearts after the events of Infinity War and they managed to keep it there. It was painful to see Tony stranded in space running out of food and water gasping for breath. Our favourite Avenger is now suffering in space, probably at his lowest point in life since the first iron man movie when he was captured by those terrorists. Its unsettling to see Tony clueless and his current situation is like a hundred times worse than being captured by terrorists in the middle of the desert.

.
Then we get some narration from God's righteous man, Steve Rogers, tearing up as he says that they lost. Hawkeye is back as Ronin now and the look on his face is pretty clear that his entire family got wiped out after Thanos's snap. Every Avenger has lost a family member or a loved one and they're all a mess right now. We also get to see Thanos farming using his armor as a scarecrow although he wouldn't be needing it that much since half the crows are already dead. It'll be interesting to see what the Mad Titan does next now that he has made the hardest choice of eliminating half the universe.

We're finally in the Endgame and I'm happy that they haven't shown us how the fallen heroes or if our fallen heroes would ever return. We now learn that Shuri has also been wiped out of the radar. But let's be honest, most of them would be back, they've finished filming Spiderman far from home so I'm pretty sure Peter would definitely return. Surprisingly, we never got to see Rocket in the entire trailer. Maybe he's out trying to rescue Tony, but I expected Stark to stick with Nebula after his defeat against Thanos. I don't Nebula would abandon Tony after losing against her father. Tony is using Quill's ship and I expected the two of them to say together.

People including myself have often accused the MCU of being too kid-friendly, less serious and too light. For now, I can say this much, the current state of the MCU is definitely darker than DCEU could ever get. Marvel has proved that they can shine everywhere and they have indeed. I can't wait to see the movie. Thor looks devastated and I can clearly see that he's waiting to get his Stormbreaker as deep as possible inside Thanos's head.

I'd love to find out how Scott Lang escaped from the Quantum realm and came back to Captain America and how it would play a role in defeating Thanos. Scott was a great comic relief in Captain America Civil War and I'm sure he's going to cheer us up with some occasional jokes and maybe play the most important role in the movie. Maybe Captain Marvel is the key, maybe it's Ant-Man, maybe it's Tony but all we know is this, to quote Stephen Strange, 'we're in the Endgame now'

Avengers Endgame will hit theatres on April and I can't wait to witness the glory of the Marvel cinematic universe again. Before that, we'll have a Captain Marvel movie but as I had mentioned earlier the trailers have failed to catch my attention and the only reason I'm even remotely interested is to see how Nick Fury contacted her before turning into dust.\
